In conjunction with the PA Parent Ed Committee, Dr. Mirangela Buggs and faculty-staff members on the School wide Diversity Committee will facilitate a parent evening focused on the themes in the film Race: The Power of An Illusion. This profound 3-part PBS documentary traces dynamics of race through scientific analysis, and socio-historical lenses, working with the stories of many Americans and ending with a strong look at some of the causes of the contemporary racial-economic wealth gap in the United States. All three parts of the documentary are informative. The parent dialogue & workshop on October 29 will focus on Parts 2 & mostly on Part 3.
