On April 22nd, award winning author Audrey Vernick will spend the day at the Lower School. Ms. Vernick will read to our students in preschool through 4th grades and conduct a mini writing workshop for our 5th grade students.
Dwight-Englewood has arranged with Ms. Vernick to autograph copies of her books!

Audrey Vernick writes nonfiction and humorous fiction picture books and middle-grade fiction. Brothers at Bat: The True Story of an Amazing All-Brother Baseball Team was a New York Times Notable Book of 2012. Her books have been named to a number of fabulous lists including Bank Street College Best Children’s Books of the Year and the IRA/CBC Children’s Choice. Audrey received an MFA in creative writing from Sarah Lawrence College and has received two fiction fellowships from the New Jersey Council on the Arts.
